Looking at the screen you notice a shifty looking fellow flailing his arms about while spouting rubbish. You deduce he is the horse racing pundit communicating information about the odds. You dimly remember that, much like Italian, the words are all for show and horse racing types communicate entirely by gesture in the mysterious language known as Bookie Speak.
On the screen the pundit’s hands forms a ‘T’, he then taps his hat, flails a bit, mines something that vaguely resembles a turkey baster, forms another ‘T’, holds his thumb and fore finger very close together and then appears to be bouncing on an invisible pogo stick. What does all this mean?
