Despite having a truly Shakespearean plot worthy of a least three major motion pictures the series suffered a mortal blow when it turned out Part IV wasn’t actually any good. This, combined with a failure to sell the screenplay to anyone, not even a dot com boom venture capitalist, left the project in limbo where it remains to this day.
